As of recent times a new energy saving scheme has been introduced by the Irish Government who are offering household Grants up to €8,000 for heat preserving work to be done on their homes.
While the cost of home heating has increased substantially over the last few years, with more increases to come such as oil prices, it is important now more ever for homeowners to reduce the impact of these factors by making sure their homes are adequately insulated to preserve the heat within in the house.
Even if you have wall insulation, you may still be losing heat if it is broken, insufficient, or placed poorly. External wall insulation is gaining popularity due to the various benefits that this technology provides.

Information that will be needed to sign up includes:
- Chosen Registered contractor.
- MPRN- Meter Point Reference Number, this can be found on your electricity bill.
- E-mail Address.
